The Position:

The Licensing Sales Specialist role will primarily be responsible for Sales and Relationship Management with Rand Group partners. You will ensure compliance across the organization by researching, monitoring and communicating software licensing policies. As our licensing expert, you will provide guidance to our team when designing technology solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

Duties will include but are never limited to:

  • Build and develop relationships with software publishers
  • Work closely with sales executives to provide pre-sales support, assist with understanding how to purchase, true up and maximizing licensing benefits
  • Offer licensing guidance to internal sales executives to drive business and opportunity management
  • Manage software publisher requirements and partner programs
  • Build and manage Rand Group’s software licensing guide
  • Obtain and interpret knowledge on various licensing options and pricing scenarios for all licensing as needed, including Cloud and SaaS licensing
  • Communicate licensing updates/changes to management on an ongoing basis
  • Monitor software publisher licensing agreements to ensure compliance
  • Manage promotional fees/rebates from software publishers

The Requirements:

  • Excellent organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive and focused while possessing strong teamwork skills
  • Experience developing client and vendor relationships
  • Experience working with a professional consulting services organization, value added reseller (VAR) or software publisher a plus
  • Software licensing experience with Sage Intacct a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and effectively
  • Business networking experience a plus
